GINA DIN-KARIUKI FINALIST IN 13TH ANNUAL STEVIE® AWARDS FOR WOMEN IN BUSINESS

Gina Din-Kariuki has been named a Finalist in the Woman of the Year – Advertising, Marketing & Public Relations category in the 13th annual Stevie® Awards for Women in Business, and will ultimately be a Gold, Silver, or Bronze Stevie Award winner in the program.

The Stevie Awards for Women in Business honour women executives, entrepreneurs, employees and the companies they run – worldwide. The awards have been hailed as the world’s premier business awards.
It’s a great honour not only for the Gina Din Group but for Kenya as well to be nominated for this prestigious award,” said Ms. Kariuki. “The nomination conveys to the world that Kenya can compete at a global level in a number of areas.
The nomination is also recognition of how far Kenya’s media communications industry has developed and the opportunities that abound in the country and across Africa,” she added.
Other nominees in this category include CEO of Burson-Marsteller China Ruby Fu, Thomson Reuters Vice President of Marketing, Tax and Accounting Corporate Amanda Carty, Brookline Public Relations Principal and Founder Shauna MacDonald and Direct Impact CEO Connie Partoyan.
Gold, Silver and Bronze Stevie Award winners will be announced during a gala event at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York onNovember 18.

Last year, Ms. Kariuki was listed as one of Africa’s 100 most influential people by the New African magazine, and named the East African Business Woman of the Year at CNBC’s All Africa Business Leaders Awards (AABLA).
She is also an Honorary Ambassador for the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).
