CUBAN PIANIST ROBERTO FONSECA AND MALIAN SONGBIRD FATOUMAYTA DIAWARA WOWED FANS AT SAFARICOM JAZZ LOUNGE

Uhuru Gardens along Langata Road was a beehive of activity last Saturday as Jazz lovers thronged the open space for entertainment.

Safaricom once again organized an event worthy of reckon. Hundreds of enthusiasts came through the gates to witness an International cast grace the Safaricom Jazz Lounge.

Cuban master pianist Roberto Fonseca and Malian songbird Fatoumayta Diawara were the star cast and wowed the audience big time.

Shamsi Music from Kenya opened the stage with wonderful pieces. However the pairing of Fonseca and Fatoumayta  proved to be a masterstroke as their artistry on the podium led fans to their feet dancing like mad.

The French based dreadlocked beauty churned hit after hit such as Bissa, Kanou and crowd favorite Clandestin.

Top honchos of the Music Industry graced the event i.e Kavutha Asiyo and Aron Rimbui. Safaricom CEO Bob Collymore alongside other dignitaries were also on the show having a ball.
