GINA DIN-KARIUKI BECOMES FIRST EAST AFRICAN WOMAN TO WIN GOLD STEVIE® AWARD AT THE 2016 STEVIE AWARDS FOR WOMEN IN BUSINESS

Gina Din-Kariuki has received the Gold Stevie® Award in the Woman of the Year – Advertising, Marketing & Public Relations category at the 13th annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business.

The Stevie Awards for Women in Business are the world’s top honours for female entrepreneurs, executives, employees and the organizations they run.

More than 1,400 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted for consideration in more than 90 categories, including Entrepreneur of the Year, Executive of the Year, Company of the Year, Startup of the Year, Women Helping Women, and Women Run Workplace of the Year, among others.

I am absolutely thrilled to be the first East African woman to win an individual achievement at the Stevies,” said Ms. Kariuki after receiving the award at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York.

It is an honour to be recognized as a change agent and trailblazer in the media communications industry,” she added.

Ms Kariuki dedicated her award to the women who have come before her and those who will continue to carry the torch.
