KENYAN DESIGNER DEEPA DOSAJA TO SHOWCASE AT BUCKINGHAM PALACE

Deepa Dosaja, a leading Kenyan designer was selected to represent Kenya at the inaugural Commonwealth Fashion Exchange that was launched on February 1 in London. Her look will be exhibited at Buckingham Palace, during London Fashion Week, on February 19.

Thereafter the Look will be exhibited at various museums in London culminating in an exhibition during the Commonwealth Heads of Government Summit in April 2018.

The Commonwealth comes together to showcase a wealth of design and artisan fashion talent across its 52 countries. Selected design talent includes major names such as Karen Walker representing New Zealand, Bibi Russell representing Bangladesh and Burberry and Stella McCartney representing the UK.

In 2015 Deepa was the only Kenyan designer to dress Oscar Award winner Lupita Nyong’o during her home coming to Kenya.

Last year in February she showcased at New York Fashion Week.
