LUPITA NYONG’O AND WAKANDA CAST WIN BEST MOTION PICTURE ENSEMBLE AT SAG AWARDS

The 25th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAG) presented its top prize for best motion picture ensemble its equivalent of a best picture award to Black Panther during its ceremony held Sunday night at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.

The Best Ensemble award honored the cast of Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira and the rest of Wakanda cast, “🏆 WAKANDA 🏆 FOREVER 🏆 #SAGAwards” she posted.

Speaking on behalf of the cast, Chadwick Boseman, who plays the  superhero, offered a moving acceptance speech, saying, “To be young, gifted and black all of us know up here know what it’s like to be told there is not a place for you to be featured. We knew we had something special that we wanted to give the world, that we could be full human beings in the roles we were playing.”
