GOSPEL ARTISTE CELESTINE AURAH WINS SH250,000

Gospel artist Celestine Aurah is the winner of the inaugural Musicians Impact Assessment (MIA) Survey Award.

Celestine who hails from Mayoni village, Kakamega county, bagged Sh250,000 is currently enjoying airwaves across the country with latest release titled ‘Mungo Yupo’.  “I’m very excited, humbled and thank God for this award, it means a lot to me after emerging the best in this competition, let’s keep the Lords work and make good and healing music for the previous, current and future generations to come. It is time we stand up sing genuine gospel music that will bring change in our society,” she said.

With over 400 artists, she was followed closely by other contestants in the race, Hellen Mwangi, Esther Muthengi, Hatkikaz Bromean and Shackel-X, Kui K, Chipu Charles, Shy Gin, Senior Master among others.

The Musicians Impact Assessment (MIA) Survey is a music poll designed to collect and package public feedback on Kenyan musicians and their content. Also present were the MIA survey board members Daniel Musembi, Amos Mirera, Ben Nginjiri as well Ann Wambui Kiguta the communications and PR officer.
