Under film category they were nominated for Best Lead Actress in a Film, Best Original Score, Best Editor, Best Lighting Technician, Best Original Screen Play, Best Short Film, Best Director and Best Local Language Film. Followed by Sibini and Before and After film each scooping seven nominations. In television categories Sumu and Pendo lead with each three getting nominations for Best Lead Actor in a TV Drama, Best Lead Actress in a TV Drama and Best TV Drama. The jury which comprises of Rosemary Kowuor, Millicent Ogutu, Serah Mwihaki, Jacinta Kiragui, Charles O. Manyara, Clifford B. Okumu and Prof. Levy Obonyo will determine the 70 percent and the public votes 30 percent, in some technical categories the jury will determine the winners without the public votes. The main gala will be held on October 30 at the KICC.
