INDUSTRY NITE GOES ON COUNTRYWIDE TOUR
Kenya’s only and most popular monthly event that showcases the best talent in the country has expanded its reach. Industry Nite prides itself as being the premiere event that focuses on world class performances while nurturing talent of the up and coming artistes.
The organisers have taken the show on the road. Industry Nite is gearing up for a 5-County tour that spans two months which started in June, 2016.
“The purpose of this workshop is to sharpen skills of the attendees. We want them to leave the workshop with vital tips that could help improve key areas that affect their music, ” said Sheila Kwamboka, CEO Light Bulb Enter (LBE)
The tour kicked off in Machakos Club Euphoria on June 18, then head out to Meru Venus June 25.
An artist workshop was held at Westwind Hotel where over 40 artists showed up for an informative session on the business of music. The workshop which had speakers like DJ Bash the official Industry Nite DJ, Sheila Kwamboka Founder of Industry Nite and Fena who is one of the three artists on the tour.
Brendan Koffi who is a singer and rapper wowed the crowd with his skills. He invited Nasizzu on stage and together they rocked the crowd. Nasizzu was a definite hit with the audience. The crooner’s musical prowess was compared to Diamond’s – and actually, he does look like him.
There was Gakeni Lily who said her Kenyan musical influence is singer Cece Sagini. Gakeni wowed by singing beautiful melodies on her acoustic set.
The headlining trio, Fena, Khaligraph and C2K gave the crowd brilliant energy.
Deejay Topnotch from Meru and DJ SNeep from Nairobi were alongside official DJ Bash on the decks and the fans were treated to an all night Kenyan party.
The Meru edition will be followed by Nakuru Club 64 on July 2, The fans in Kisumu will have the chance to also enjoy Industry Nite in July 9 at a yet to be announced venue. The tour of the counties will culminate in Kenya’s coastal town, Mombasa at Sheba Lounge on July 16.
