By  |

The fourth edition of Safaricom International Jazz Festival went down at Kasarani Training Grounds, with over 7000 fans in attendance.

Headlined by Grammy Award winner David Sanborn, the event was highlighted by amazing performances by international acts such Taxi Wars, The Hazelnuts, Arun Ghosh, Bokani Dyer and Ray Lema & Saka Saka Band. The event also featured Kenyan bands Shamsi Music, Nairobi Horns Project and Mwai and The Truth.

The concert was a culmination of a week of activities held throughout the week; from cultural nights, to visits to Ghetto Classics music program in Korogocho by the local and international acts, a VVIP show held on Friday evening and a special schools show on Saturday targeting younger music audiences.

All proceeds from the event will go towards supporting the Ghetto Classics, a non-profit programme that teaches music skills to youth from underprivileged backgrounds.
