She bagged grand prize of Sh5 million that includes Sh3 million in start-up capital and the remainder in the form of mentorship, financial advice and business support from Safaricom and various partners.

Valentine, who grew up in Kakamega was adopted by her uncle, Atwoli and wife, Roselinda, a political aspirant for parliamentary sit Webuye West.

She comes from a family of 13 with eight brothers and five sisters. The 19 year old student at Mount Kenya University said, “I will invest part of the money on my fashion label VS Designs and the rest she will save for future investments.”

I knew my daughter had it in her to win because she is hardworking. She kept her identity on the DL as she didn’t want people to discredit her because of his name,” said Roselinda Simiyu Atwoli.
