JULIANI LAUNCHES DANDORA HIP HOP CITY MUSIC SUMMIT
Hip Hop artiste Juliani through his community platform Dandora Hip Hop City has today unveiled a music summit in Dandora, Nairobi County.
The three day summit is geared towards providing a unique platform to mentor artists from various counties in the countries on how they can use music as a powerful tool for change as they explore active citizenship through arts.
According to the gospel artiste, the summit will also provide a platform for capacity building as the upcoming artistes gain necessary tools to engage their audiences on civic participation and engagement. At the end of the summit, the participants are expected to compile five songs and one music video.
“This is great milestone in the history of this country. This new platform will provide an opportunity for participants to educate the public about music relevance, activism and civic engagement, technology and advocacy, social justice, music and change, branding and artiste development and by doing this, we will have more informed citizens,” noted Gospel artiste Juliani.
On his part, Mungu Pekee hit maker Nyashinski noted, “This is a great platform from Dandora Hip Hop City. It’s commendable and I will definitely support such initiatives.”
Other participants in the summit are: Scheaffer Okore, Nanjira Sambuli , Stephen Olang and Valentine Zikki.
