MARRIAGE IS ENSLAVEMENT AND JAIL, CHRIS KIRUBI OPENS UP ABOUT NOT GETTING MARRIED AND HIS CHILDREN

By  |

Kenyan businessman and industrialist Christopher John Kirubi popularly known as Dr. Chris Kirubi has opened up about his family and the reason why he never got married.

Speaking to comedian Churchill on his show, the businessman said marriage is enslavement, “Marriage is enslavement you have to be careful; you have to agree into going to slavery and to go to jail. But not to go in to taste and to go out, it is a permanent affair you are jailed for life.

If you marry a good woman it’s such a pleasure, but there are some women it is like they first went to the army before you married them because they are full of fighting mood. It is luck you get such a nice wife, God has to bless you, but if you are not Jesus! You will regret and you are in jail.”

Kirubi also explained what makes Ugandan women are special, “They have more hospitality than we have, a Ugandan woman will sit down and remove your shoe laces. When you get back home, she will be asking you about your work, journey home and the food is ready.

If you want to go out, she is dressing you to go out, you never fight with them, they are very polite. If you have never experienced, you better go to Uganda with one-way ticket you may never come back.”

He praised the Kenyan women as hard workers, “The Kenya women have their own quality if you want to get rich marry a good Kenyan woman, if she is not noise-making, she will make you money. It’s an inheritance we have, each area they have their own characteristic.

Ugandans are trained on how to look after their home and men, the bible says you marry in sickness, in happiness you belong to one person so they don’t give you a choice. It is not complicated as long as you appreciate being in jail.”

The father of two also talked about his daughter and son, “My daughter Maryanne is okay, she is now the managing director (MD) of my company HACO Industries, my only problem is dealing with my daughter as an MD, the challenge is she doesn’t fear me as someone I hired from outside and she argues with me but on the other hand, she is very smart and very dedicated to work. I’m lucky she is very much like me.”

He also revealed his son is not working for the company, “My son works in Brussels for DHL, he earns a lot of money any job we give him here he says it is a joke. I tell him to take his time he will eventually come back to Kenya. He gains some experience on his own, he is very senior a regional director of the world with DHL and he travels a lot. I see myself in my son.”

His biggest lesson while battling colon cancer in hospital was the things he had not completed, “The biggest lesson was how many things I had not completed before I die. Because I did not believe I would recover, I was blaming myself for not attending to all the issues.

When I achieve something, I forget about it, I don’t live in the past I live in the future. Until my doctor says I’m properly healed I do not proclaim. I’m doing very well, you can have all the doctors, all the quality medicines but if your God is not with you it means nothing. I believe seriously in God; his power is real.”

Chris confessed the reason why he bought Capital FM was because he loved music, “Loved music so bought Capital FM when the opportunity came, I did not think twice. While others were bargaining, I went in and paid the full amount they wanted.

I changed the music immediately but and old ladies in Karen said why did you come to spoil our station? We know you are rich but how do you change our station? Simply, the music they liked was not going with the youth, for me I was looking for the population which was the youth.”

He wants to be remembered as a hardworking Kenyan.
