I MARRIED MY EX-HUSBAND AFTER KNOWING HIM FOR SEVEN DAYS-ANNITAH RAEY

Media personality Annitah Raey has opened up about her tumultuous relationship with her ex-husband.

Speaking on Switch TV’s morning show, Annitah says she married her ex-husband after knowing him for a week, “I finished form 4 and I got married, I had just known him for seven days, we met on December 24 and we hangout for the whole week and on December 31 he asked me if I wanted to go with him and I agreed. I was running away from home I didn’t want to go back and work as a house help. I walked into marriage and the guy was 10 years older than me, I had lied about my age.

At first, it was hard I was looking for a parent in him and guidance, it was difficult and I was really young. Then I had my son at 19 years. Six months in, he started being abusive, my dad had never beaten me but I grew up watching my mum getting beaten it was so confusing to me. I told my parents but they told me to be patient like them.

I thought that’s the way its supposed to be. The first two years he was really abusive, I was young I had no right to ask or say anything. When my son was four months old, we had a fight, he was almost hurt and I told him I will never allow him to beat me again. At some point things became worse he stopped doing things for the house.

I left several times, the first time I went home from while then returned, the second time I went to his parents for a while then went back. Third time, I got my place and stayed for a month then went back, the last time I left and I didn’t tell anyone, I picked my son and started on my own.”
