ROSE MUHANDO REVEALS WHY SHE DEDICATED HER SONG BARIKI KENYA TO PRESIDENT UHURU

By  |

September 2019, Tanzanian gospel singer Rose Muhando melted the hearts of Kenyans after releasing a song to thank Kenyans for their support. In the single Bariki Kenya, Muhando thanks the nation of Kenya and President Uhuru Kenyatta for standing with her.

Muhando says the song is dedicated to the president because he allowed her to stay in the country when she was depressed, “I have performed in Kenya so many times and it’s a country I get a lot of work. When I fell very sick while in Kenya and Pastor Ng’ang’a prayed for me, he instructed his workers to take me to hospital. When the Kenyan government knew I was admitted, they said because she is our sister and praises in our churches. We shall take of her until she is healed, their leaders used to come and visit me.

The president also heard I was admitted and he instructed I should be treated and discharged when I get well. The Tanzanian ambassador also used to come and check on me from time to time and brought some funds which helped to clear my hospital bill.

I was so sick, I couldn’t talk. I was hospitalized for six months because of depression, the first two months I was in a bad state.  The other four months the doctor used to come to see me every week, I was told not to pray and read the bible, I was also told to release whatever pain I had and be ready to start over. I used to watch TV and movies and that heal me. When I got well is when I went back to reading the bible and praying.”
