She also recalled an instance where she almost hurt her baby who was crying nonstop, prompting her husband to take her to hospital for medical attention. “There’s a day my baby was crying and there was a mattress nearby, I felt like she was irritating me. I carried my baby and threw her on the mattress, I used to call her a thing. I was okay with that but then my husband told me we need to go see a doctor,” she said.
After assessment, the doctor concluded that she had major depression and had to be admitted for close observation. Mude graduated months later and fell into depression again. She was taken to the hospital and admitted for a month and diagnosed with bipolar. “I managed to graduate when my baby was seven months and immediately after that I went to major depression because I felt like my classmates who had no kids and were working but I’m a stay-at home mum. So many things were happening at the same time and I was admitted for a month and got diagnosed with bipolar,” said Mude.
She disclosed that she was under medication but her condition worsened forcing her to look for another doctor who finally saved her life. “I got the treatment for a month but my symptoms became worse, I had to change the doctor again and now that doctor was the one who saved me. They did the thyroid test and they said you don’t need take any medication, your problem is because you have an underlining condition and thyroid is the reason why,” she said.
