WAHU ADMITS TO FAKING CRAVINGS DURING PREGNANCY
Celebrated singer Wahu Kagwi recalled when she was pregnant with her first born baby. Speaking in the latest episode of their reality show, This Love, the singer stated that she realised she was expectant three days after arriving home from their honeymoon.
“We came back from our honeymoon and I remember waking up and throwing up. Three days later I thought maybe I need to do a pregnancy test, I did the test and it was positive, I was really excited about it,” she recalled.
Wahu then broke the news to her husband, musician Nameless, after buying him a book about being a father. “We were having dinner in a Chinese restaurant and Wahu brought a book about being a father then she was like, ‘are you not getting it’ and I’m like, ‘getting what, what does it mean, but wait a minute are you…’ There was excitement because it was the first pregnancy, watching her growth and her cravings. I had to make a few night trips just to keep her happy,” said Nameless.
Wahu also disclosed that she did not have any cravings through her pregnancy, but had to fake them. “I had no cravings, however, I wasn’t gonna let my hubby just get away from me that easily, so I decided hot dogs is my thing,” she stated.
Nameless also spoke on their daughter, Tumiso Mathenge’s up bringing, recalling an instance where she hid under a table making her parents thought she had been kidnapped or lost. “There is a time she decided to play around with us and disappear so that she acts like she is lost. After 30 minutes we started looking for her around the estate. I remember how angry I was only to find her under the table,” said the father of two.
On the other hand, Wahu recalled the day their daughter demanded for a baby sister, “There’s a time I’ll never forget, her friend’s kid sister had come to hang out for the evening and she was just playing with the baby and hanging out, ultimately the baby had to go home. My baby, Tumiso, cried she was like, ‘she’s not spending the night’. I remember her crying like, ‘why don’t I have my own baby sister’. I realised at that time I was not the only stakeholder in this,” said Wahu. The couple has two amazing children, Tumiso and Nyakio Mathenge.
