HOW FRANKIE JUST GYM IT PLANNED AND PROPOSED TO CORAZON KWAMBOKA

Fitness trainer Frankie Just Gym has explained why he proposed to his fiancée, Corazon Kwamboka. In a video on his YouTube channel, the gym instructor said she has always been there for him in time of need. “She’s always been the rock, she’s always been my support system, she’s always been there in each and every situation that I’ve gone through,” said Frankie. 

The father of three explained the idea of proposing to Kwamboka came about when he was thinking of doing something special for her birthday. “So her birthday is in August and a month or so before the birthday, I started thinking about something that I can do for her. I had a couple of destinations in mind but I wanted somewhere where that would be memorable.

I realised that this is someone that I would want celebrate each and every year, I want us to go all together, I want us to spend the rest of our lives together. She’s the mother of our child and about to give me another child, we get along so well, we are best friends more than anything and I decided for her birthday I’ll take her somewhere nice and I’ll definitely pop the question,” he said. 

Frankie began looking for the ring and later contacted her sister who got him a variety of rings to pick and purchase shortly before it was shipped to Kenya. “On the side, I began searching for the ring. I went around locally, the rates were good but I felt like I can get a much bigger diamond if I was to shop outside. Here, the prices were so exaggerated so I called my sister and she told me she would go with her hubby to a certain place and buy us a ring. They searched and sent a list of all the rings that they thought would match what I wanted. I picked the ring and within a week it had been shipped to Kenya,” he said. 

Following a successful shipment of the ring, Frankie embarked on looking for a perfect location and after consulting with Kwamboka they settled for Zanzibar. “After getting the ring and the passport I now had to get a location. She knew about the trip I didn’t have to hide that conversation but definitely I had to hide the ring. I asked her where she wanted to go because I wanted something nice for her, something where she could enjoy but also somewhere romantic and she was like, ‘how about we go Zanzibar‘,” he said.  

On planing how the proposal would go down, Frankie said he sought the help of a hotel staffer who advised him on the perfect location. “Shout out to Jabir at Zanzibar, I had a conversation with him, I told him I wanted to do something special for my lady. We came up with a couple of places and he said he would organise something. He told me we can go to Prison Island, I’ll explain to her why the dolphin concept isn’t going to work so that we can go check out the tortoises and then take a boat all the way to the sand bank where people people usually have a nice picnic set up there,” said Frankie.    

He went ahead to reveal Kwamboka’s reactions after he popped the big question. “When we were at the sand bank, I thought of a couple of ideas on how I could propose to her but I decided to do something that would hold value. I told her we go the the edge and I see the water splashing and take a photo. I went there set up the camera and I could see her trying to pose and all that. I was passing time so that I could get the ring out of my pocket and I opened it and everything just went quiet. I relaxed and I asked her, ‘will you marry me’. It was just an amazing moment,” he said.
