NICAH THE QUEEN DEFENDS WILLY PAUL AGAINST DIANA MARUA’S ATTEMPTED RAPE CLAIMS
Singer Nicah The Queen has came out to defend musician Willy Paul against attempted rape claims levelled against him by Diana Marua. In a video on her Instagram page, Nicah stated that the two know each other way back. “This was around five or six years back, when I was married to Dr Ofweneke and we used to live in Great Wall Apartments. One day I was walking with my husband when Willy Paul came to visit. He was driving a white Mark X at that time, he pulled over while we were at the entrance of our block,” she said.
“He had done a collaboration with Sauti Sol and he played the song for us, he was playing from his car. We were outside the car and what caught my attention was Willy Paul was not alone, he had the company of a woman. The lady was dressed in white and she was seated at the co-driver’s seat. The girl was jamming to the song as well which later on when Diana became famous I realised she is the same woman who was in Willy Paul’s car.”
Nicah disagreed with Diana on the attempted rape claims saying that on the material day, she was enjoying the company of Willy and she did not seem uncomfortable. “I want to at least correct something, from when they left our block’s entrance I don’t know what transpired. From what I saw, the lady was not held against her wishes, actually the driver’s car was open, I was there, there were watchmen at the gate, that’s my honest truth,” she added.
In a YouTube video dated, December 9, Diana accused Willy of attempting to rape her years back when he was pursuing her. The Saldido Records CEO also said that the allegations were orchestrated by Diana and her husband, singer Bahati to win public sympathy. “The attempted rape allegations by D are baseless and orchestrated to win public sympathy. I have never assaulted anyone sexually, I have never engaged in a non-consensual sex with anyone. I was raised by a woman and I owe my whole career to a woman who held my hand when I was naive and on diapers in the industry.”
