KOOME GITOBU DISMISSES MISS MANDII’S APOLOGY
Journalist Koome Gitobu has dismissed an apology issued by former Capital FM presenter Miss Mandii over alleged bullying. The radio host maintained the first spot on Twitter trending tab for three days after Koome accused her of bullying him the entire time they worked together.
Following the exposé, Miss Mandi was forced to issue an apology where she noted that she does not recall the many experiences recounted online but acknowledged that there are some things she might have done that impacted her colleagues negatively.
“As I grow older I have ensured to continuously correct my behaviour at the earliest opportunity and learn from my past mistakes and interactions. Although this entire conversation has taken a life of its own, I still see this as another opportunity for self-improvement and I do not intend to waste it,” Miss Mandii wrote.
Reacting to the apology, Koome took issue with social media users asking him to move on following Miss Mandi’s apology which he termed a non-apology. “And to those saying “but she’s apologised why won’t guys move on”. You don’t issue such a non-apology like that but these are the things you are intentionally retweeting onto your timeline. This is you showing people what you *really* think,” he wrote.
