ESTHER MUSILA PENS INSPIRATIONAL MESSAGE TO ‘OLD’ WOMEN
The spirit never ages. It stays forever young – Esther Musila, the wife of gospel musician Guardian Angel, has penned an inspirational post to uplift women above 40 years.
In an Instagram post, the 51-year-old said that women should embrace their age as getting older is a golden gift not accorded to many. She says they should use their life experience and wisdom to ride through challenges and stigmas attracted by their old age.
“To all of my female friends from 40 – 60 years and up… most of us are going through the next phase of our lives. We’re at that age where we see wrinkles, grey hair, and extra pounds. We have run households, paid the bills, dealt with sickness, sadness, and everything else life has assigned us. We are survivors…we are warriors in the quiet…we are Ladies…like a classic car or fine wine,” she wrote.
Further, the mother of three noted that older women should not be embarrassed by their body transformations but try to live their best lives fighting all criticism as the changes are natural for everyone in their sunset years.
“Even if our bodies may not be what they once were, they carry our souls, courage, and strength. We should never feel bad about getting older. It’s a privilege that is denied to so many. Enjoy every minute. Ladies, I challenge you to copy proudly with your picture.”
Esther has been a victim of online harassment because of her age when she tied the knot with Guardian Angel, who is over ten years younger than her. When a curious fan asked her how she copes with cyberbullying, she said, “Minding my own business. I simply don’t entertain them. I will never live anyone’s life but mine.”
