ACTOR MALIK LEMUEL OPENS UP ABOUT PARENTS DIVORCE

Popular actor Malik Lemuel spoke to Buzz central about being raised by a single mother. Malik said he still has a good relationship with his dad who lives in the U.S.

“My parents are divorced and my mum is a single mother. The good thing is, she has never blocked me and my sister from speaking to our dad. I can call him anytime and we talk for hours and my mother has no issues. Though we live with my mum we still enjoy the two parent love,” Malik confessed.

He added that he will be visiting his dad soon, “My dad lives in the states and he has really missed me, I’m going to visit him but also see how my life would be if I was to relocate. I am afraid to start.”

On why he chose his mother to be his manager, he said he talked to other potential managers but they wanted 30 percent commission or to take advantage of his brand for their own benefit, “My mum has been managing me ever since I was small. She also understands me, everyday in our house is an acting training because my sister has also joined the industry. She has a vision for my brand, I have met other potential managers but they just want money or 30 percent commission. When I make the money mum doesn’t force me to buy stuff. She turns down bad contracts even though I don’t like it. I end up being paid more.”
