CRIS NJOKI PENS TOUCHING TRIBUTE TO LATE FIANCÉ GUILLAUME DURAND

Fashion designer Cris Njoki penned an emotional tribute to her late fiancé, Guillaume Durand days after his burial.

Njoki who was recently engaged said, “I may not be able to say how I feel to you anymore, but that’s ok because I said it more times than I’d thought possible. I may not be able to touch you anymore but that’s ok, because you reached out and did it more than I thought was possible.“

She added, “I know you won’t see this but I hope you feel it, because I feel you every moment of every day.  Rest well my love, until I see you again.”

On July 16, this year, Njoki got candid about the sudden death of her fiancé, “It is with immense sorrow I share the heartbreaking news of the sudden passing of my longtime partner and fiance, Guillaume Durand. His loss has left a profound void in my life that words cannot express. Guillaume was an incredible father, son, my rock, my best friend and soulmate. His love, light, and presence reached our lives beyond measure.” 

Cris asked for privacy during this difficult time, “I am eternally grateful for the beautiful moments we shared and the love we experienced together. Your message of condolence and support are deeply appreciated during this incredibly difficult time. I can’t be asked for privacy for both our families. And myself as we navigate this journey of grief. 

Let us celebrate the extra ordinary person Guillaume was by cherishing the moment we shared with him in his honour. I know he would love that. Thank you. For your love and understanding as well as as we all find strength in the embrace of our shared memories.”
