Rosemary Waweru, popularly known for her role Maya in Tabasamu TV series has spoken out about her separation from her husband.
Speaking to Cheptoek Boyo on Buzz Central, Waweru said they grew apart, “I got into a relationship when I was 20. I have two daughters but now we have been separated for two years.
My marriage was good while it lasted, honestly I cannot say I had a bad marriage. I think it is because we got together when we were very young and people grow and change. For us to continue the journey together we needed to grow together and have a clear path which we were following but when we went different directions we were not able to sustain the marriage. It was not because he was a bad person, we are just two people who grew apart.”
Rosemary also said she is co-parenting with her ex-husband, “We are both in our children’s life and it was not easy for us to tell them we were separating. We hope to be good parents even if we are apart.”
She further disclosed she is enjoying her career and not searching for a partner, “The first year I was healing but right now I am enjoying my family and career. If I’m found along the way then I will know if I want to be found. There are some things I always leave to the universe.”
