FASHION SHOW CHOREOGRAPHER JAFFAR JACKSON IS DEAD
Fashion show choreographer Jackson Irungu, popularly known as Jaffar Jackson, had passed away. Jackson died on Sunday, January 7, succumbing to complications arising from a stomach infection.
On December 22, 2023, he shared his last post on social media, saying, “Over the last couple of days I have come to learn one lesson. That the universe does this thing where it aligns you with people, things & situations that match the energy you put out. The more you improve yourself & raise your vibrations, the more you will meet people who will in turn help you channel that positive energy & the more you will see things that are beneficial to your mental well being.
Just learning to look at life with a more positive attitude and feel. Thanks to everyone who commented a note of reassurance when I was in a lost place….. my sister just has been amazing Ruth Amatallia Ewoton We are siblings for life sis! Also, Bless Ya’ll everyone who thought to say a word of encouragement. Dont take it for granted.”

Melanie Woods, a close friend, paid tribute to him, “I was woken up yesterday with the news that you were gone. I didn’t want to believe it. We just spoke just before the New Year. You were starting a new job on the tenth. I went to our messages to see if you had sent me a message that I had missed or if indeed it was just a dream. I was angry, so angry I gave myself a headache. I still can’t talk about just how angry I am. You shouldn’t be gone but you are. Know you were loved Jaffar Jackson. My heart is broken,” she wrote on Facebook.
Jaffar’s funeral is scheduled to take place on January 18 at Langata Cemetery.
