SAFARICOM INJECTS SH2 MILLION TO THE BOB COLLYMORE JAZZ FESTIVAL
Safaricomhas announced a Sh2 million sponsorship for the Bob Collymore International Jazz Festival that is scheduled for Saturday, February 24 at the Carnivore Grounds.
Safaricom pledged the cash sponsorship to ensure the success of the concert organised by the Bob Collymore Foundation, in honour of the Late Safaricom CEO, Bob Collymore.
This contribution will enhance the festival’s ability to attract top-tier musicians, support young talent such as the Ghetto Classics and Safaricom Youth Orchestra, and provide an immersive experience for attendees.

Our sponsorship reflects our ongoing commitment to fostering creativity and providing platforms for young musicians to thrive. The Bob Collymore International Jazz Festival aims to promote the vibrant jazz scene and cultivate a deep appreciation for this timeless art. By bringing together talented artists, avid jazz enthusiasts, and the wider community, the festival strives to create an unforgettable fusion of soulful melodies and captivating performances.
Some of the notable artists set to perform at the event are Enkare Saxophone Quartet, Humphrey Mubba, Samuel Mutuku, Syssi Mananga, The Jazztified, DJ D-lite, Safaricom Youth Orchestra and the Ghetto Classics.
Proceeds from the festival will go into music education and supporting underprivileged children including the Ghetto Classics. The Bob Collymore Foundation offers music education to over 300 underprivileged youths in Kenya, to transform their lives and communities.
