KING KAKA TALKS ABOUT HIS MOTHER’S BATTLE WITH AUTOIMMUNE DISEASE

Popular musician King Kaka has shared an account of his mother’s struggle with lupus, an incurable autoimmune disease. 

In a candid interview, the acclaimed artist revealed how his mother’s health has deeply impacted him, “My mum’s sickness is one thing that has constantly disturbed me. She is my heart, and she has a condition called lupus which cannot be cured,” King Kaka explained. 

One of my biggest worries is that she might be well now, but by the evening, she could be sick. It’s an autoimmune disease. Before we knew it was lupus, she was treated for other things and became very sick.”

King Kaka spoke about the emotional toll of dealing with his mother’s condition, noting the loneliness he felt during the time when her illness was not yet diagnosed. “I felt I had access to money and God was not listening to my prayers, so I became lonely because I couldn’t share with anyone,” he said.

The musician has taken an active role in supporting his mother through her health journey. “When the lady who takes care of her calls me, I go and stay with her the whole day,” he stated.

Recently, King Kaka’s mother celebrated her 60th birthday, a milestone that holds special significance given her ongoing battle with lupus. “She just turned 60 years old. She was so grateful for her new age. She said she didn’t know she would reach 60 because she thought she would die before 50 years,King Kaka shared.
