MURUGI MUNYI REVEALS SHOCKING DETAILS OF TIME SPENT IN POLICE CELL 

Digital content creator Murugi Munyi has shared an update with her fans after spending hours in a police cell. 

Murugi was arrested alongside protesters who took to the streets of Nairobi to peacefully protest the proposed 2024 financial bill. “Yesterday’s experiences really solidified in my mind the importance of working out, the importance of staying fit and staying healthy. Because guys the running that we did in town yesterday! Wueh,” she stated. 

The mother of three narrated what led to her arrest,  “Guys I ended up falling and that is how I got caught by the cops. But I wouldn’t have fallen if it wasn’t for some guy who was running next to me. He tripped on one of those stands for rubber stamps that are usually on the side of the road in town and in his falling he dragged me down with him. If it wasn’t for my cousin pulling me up by my t-shirt, God bless her soul… like in the video posted  you can see my t-shirt is torn on the side, that was her pulling me up,” Murugi added.

She also shared her harrowing experience in a police cell, “As soon as we stood up, and everyone had rushed past us because I had fallen, a tear gas canister exploded right next to us. Just on my side and I literally saw my life flash before my eyes because guys I couldn’t see, I couldn’t swallow, it was literally hell. 

Why must Kenyan police treat people in the most demeaning manner? Like why are you pushing me and I’m literally walking towards the direction you’re pointing? Why are the cells dark? Why do the cells have the most pungent cell ever?” She concluded.
