ISAAC MWAURA’S WIFE NELIUS MUKAMI DISCHARGED FROM HOSPITAL AFTER THIRD SURGERY
Nelius Mukami, the wife of government spokesman Isaac Mwaura, has been discharged from the hospital following a successful third surgery to treat endometriosis.
In an emotional statement shared on social media, Mukami said, “Bent but not broken. I am finally out of the hospital and cannot express enough how grateful I am for all the prayers, best wishes, and unwavering support.” Adding, “The surgery had its challenges, but thanks to the skilled doctors, everything was handled with great care.”
Mukami’s message also included a lighthearted moment for her supporters who had pledged to treat her once she was well. “To everyone who promised to buy me lunch once I’m well—this is your official notice!” she joked. “I’m already dreaming of pepper steak, grilled meats, burgers, and every spicy dish I can get my hands on. The foodie in me is ready to feast, so I’ll be cashing in on those offers soon!”
On November 3, Mukami announced she was undergoing the surgery to address both endometriosis and adenomyosis—two conditions that she was diagnosed with a few years back.
Mukami revealed that her journey with chronic pain began over a decade ago. She explained how the pain has brought multiple challenges, including severe dysmenorrhea, depression, infertility, and a prolonged reliance on painkillers to manage daily life. “They say the third time’s a charm. Today, I’m going in for my third Endometriosis surgery—this time to address both endometriosis and adenomyosis.”
Mukami reminded women that painful periods aren’t normal and that the misconception of relief after childbirth does not hold true for everyone. This part of my life isn’t something I often talk about. This pain has brought its own battles: severe dysmenorrhea ,depression, infertility, and years of relying on painkillers just to get by. I want to remind everyone that painful periods aren’t normal, and they don’t magically go away after childbirth.”
