TIKTOK STAR EDDIE ABBEW CELEBRATES 45-YEAR FRIENDSHIP WITH PETER KENNETH

Popular TikTok personality Edward Abbew popularly known as Eddie Abbew recently talked about his 45-year friendship with 2013 Kenyan presidential aspirant Peter Kenneth. 

While celebrating his birthday with his high school friends, Eddie reflected on his journey as an orphan who earned a scholarship to Starehe Boys Centre, calling it a turning point in his life. “Sometimes taking a trip down memory lane is all you need to appreciate how lucky you are. I was an orphan boy who won a scholarship to attend a prestigious secondary school in Kenya, called Starehe Boys’ Centre. Before I won the scholarship, I had no idea what was going to become of me. I owe a lot to the school. God works in mysterious ways.” 

The TikTok star, who was their captain at school, shared how humour and light-hearted banter have defined their friendship over the decades. “Isn’t it funny how the conversations you have with friends you went to school with 45 years ago have the same humour and piss-take? I have been called many names but never a herbalist! 😂😂😂😂 @Hon. Peter Kenneth,” he joked. 

Peter Keneth explained how a fun day at the cinema quickly turned into an unforgettable bus ride. “We had come from watching a movie and we were about 10 of us. Before we entered Kenya Bus, Eddie said he will pay for us. We sat together and Edward went at the back of the bus. The conductor reached where everyone had sat and started counting it was 10 shillings. He only produced 1 shilling for himself. The conductor came to us with a vengeance and told the driver to shut the doors.”
