‘I WANT JUSTICE’ SARAH KABU CHALLENGES DCI OVER DELAYED GBV INVESTIGATION
Sarah Kabu’s public challenge to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has caused a heated debate online.
Through an Instagram post, Kabu talked about frustration over delays in resolving her Gender-Based Violence (GBV) complaint. She wrote, “Someone tell DCI I am waiting for a full investigation on my Gender-Based Violence complaints because now it’s being handled online with paid campaigns. My ex is connected everywhere and keeps boasting I cannot take him anywhere in this country, I want justice,” accusing unnamed parties of orchestrating smear campaigns against her.
Recently, the Bonfire Adventures Managing Director also addressed viral allegations of assault linked to CCTV footage dated July 9, 2024. The footage showed a person holding a knife, forcibly ejecting a woman from a house, prompting widespread speculation and public outrage. Many online commentators speculated the woman might be Kabu’s house help.
In a video statement, Kabu denied the allegations, clarifying that the woman in the video was not her house help. She dismissed the claims as part of a coordinated attack on her reputation. “Today, I had to come home early because I was trending on Twitter. Someone is claiming to be my house girl and alleging assault. I want to set the record straight—this is my home, and that woman is not my house girl. This is a smear campaign, and I won’t hide behind the keyboard. Stay tuned because I will introduce my real house girls to you,” she said.
Sarah further called for the woman in the footage to identify herself. “I want her to come out and explain who she is in that house or how she got there. Or Simon should explain who the lady was in the house,” she added.
