INSIDE ASBEL KIPROP’S TRADITIONAL WEDDING AFTER NASTY DIVORCE

1500m world champion Asbel Kiprop got engaged to the love of his life Faith in a Kalenjin customary event held at Simat, Nandi County on April 30.

“Today I’m officially engaged to Faith. I thank all who attended the function at Simat. Looking forward to the next chapter in life.Stephen Cherono, Augustine Choge  Geoffrey Mutai & Moses Tanui too graced our occasion. I appreciate all the elite athletes who attended. And those who stood in solidarity.” he said. 

On a different picture, he captioned,”Benjamin Limo introducing athletes during our pre wedding. Among them Vivian Cheruiyot, Dennis Kimeto, Said Saif Shaheen and Geoffrey Mutai.”

Asbel Kiprop and his wife Sammary Cherotich split after a video of her husband kissing Nancy Rotich, a married woman, went viral online. 

In an interview , Asbel disclosed that the woman he was cheating with on his wife also had an affair with another man. 

“At the moment the woman is in good terms with the husband but I have a problem because my wife has run away but I want to bring her back. I told her that I was confessing to something that she didn’t know for two years,” said Kiprop.

He also disclosed that his wife did not return after she walked out of their matrimonial home.

October 2019, his wife Sammary Cherotich took to Facebook and announced she was engaged to one Kelvin Busienei.
