EZEKIEL MUTUA SHARES SERIES OF INSPIRATIONAL QUOTES FOLLOWING KFCB SACKING

Dr Ezekiel Mutua has posted a series of inspirational quotes since reports emerged that he had been fired as Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) CEO. 

A day after reportedly being fired, Mutua thanked friends and family for prayers and words of encouragement. “Dear friends & family, thank you for your prayers and the words of encouragement. I can’t pick all the calls or respond to all the messages, but I deeply appreciate your prayers and goodwill,” he said. 

A day later, he made a social media post praying for acceptance following the alleged dismissal. “God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference,” he wrote. 

Replying to a comment one of his posts, Mutua also gave a clear indication that the had been stripped of his position at KFCB after thanking the board for giving him an opportunity. “Thank you Sir. You believed in me and gave me an opportunity to serve and stood by me through thick and thin. May Allah reward you. Will always treasure your mentorship and prayers and your reassuring presentations as Chairman of the Finance Committee,” he wrote. 

In yet another inspirational quote on Sunday evening, Mutua said, “I have held many things in my hands, and I have lost them all; but whatever I have placed in God’s hands, that I still possess.” – Martin Luther King Jr. And in these days of emotional tension, when the problems of the world are gigantic in extent and chaotic in detail, give us penetrating vision, broad understanding, power of endurance and abiding faith, and save us from the paralysis of crippling fear.” 

News of Mutua’s alleged sacking was first announced by Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Jnr who  alleged that Ministry of Information and Communications CS Joe Mucheru has unlawfully fired Mutua. “Ezekiel Mutua unlawfully removed by CS Mucheru  as CEO after being lawfully appointed by the board. Laws are mere suggestions for this administration,” Kilonzo Jnr wrote. 

Mutua joined KFCB in October 2015 and served his first term until 2018 when KFCB directors renewed his term for three more years.
