ACTOR NICK NDEDA EXPLAINS WHY HE DOESN’T WANT KIDS AND DIVORCE
Vasectomy is shrouded with myths, among them is that it causes erectile dysfunction, and these deter Kenyan men from embracing the family planning method, but popular actor Nick Ndeda is a strong one. He has undergone vasectomy, aka sterilization, and he opened up on why he decided to take the step that literally means he can never have children.
Speaking to Cheptoek Boyo of Buzz Central, he noted that he simply doesn’t want kids, and neither his childhood nor life experiences compelled him to undergo a vasectomy. “My childhood was dope, and I was even pampered when I was young because I was the last born. I don’t dislike children. I hang out with my nephews, and they are amazing. Also, when I am shooting with the kids on set, it is amazing. I like kids when I can give them to their owners.” He said.
On why he broke up with his wife Muthoni Gitau in 2021, Nick said that they decided to part ways because they had outgrown each other, and it was time to pursue individual goals apart and no longer as a couple. He says they are in the process of getting a legal separation because they had officialised their union at Attorney General’s office.
However, they have maintained a cordial relationship, and Nick often visits her during his free time. “We are still in the process of divorcing. Marriage is very eye opening. I think one thing that I was grateful for was the fact that even before we got married we were living together and there were no surprises.“
On why he decided to participate on the break up video, he said, “I was called the biggest simp in Kenya even Amerix sent me a DM like ‘dude do you need help?’ The reason for doing the video was because it was very public knowledge that we were together. If I was to be seen with another woman or her with another man people would have run it as a cheating scandal so we wanted to put it out there but Kenyans will have a way of flipping things.”
