CHARLENE RUTO TALKS ABOUT HEARTBREAKS AND REGRETS
In a rare and candid interview, Charlene Ruto, first daughter and the patron of the SMACHS Foundation, offered a personal glimpse into her dating life, family traditions, and life lessons. Charlene, who has kept her relationship status under wraps, surprised many by openly discussing her relationship experiences.
Reflecting on one of her life regrets, Charlene shared, “When I was younger, I was encouraged to socialise before I specialised. To be friends with people, not necessarily being in a relationship or anything, and I think getting into relationships too early got me heartbroken that I could have avoided.”
Adding, “Si mara moja, mbili au tatu, that is a life regret. I was not patient enough to enjoy my life without having to be someone’s girlfriend.” Charlene also reminisced about her childhood, mentioning she had named herself Matilda after watching the movie.
When asked about family traditions, Charlene disclosed she enjoys spending Christmas and Easter holidays with family, “Spending time with my family during Easter and Christmas because we are so many, seven kids and two parents and now my older siblings are married so we have more people in the family and during holidays we can all meet.”
