GRACE MAKOSEWE’S MEMORIAL SERVICE

Hundreds of friends and family gathered at Nairobi Central SDA Church to say goodbye to former radio presenter and the pioneer of Nairobi VIP Parties, Grace Makosewe.

The memorial service was attended by Mrs Ida Odinga, Winnie Odinga, Emma Too, Buddha Blaze, Bidanya Barassa, Sir Henry, Zawadi Nyong’o, Dorothy Oliech, Kaz Lucas, Angela Angwenyi and Carol Odero among others.

Grace was found dead in her apartment at Golf Course Phase 2 estate, Ngumo, on October 26, 2016. She worked as the presenter of Capital FM’s Jam 98.4 show before moving to the Kisumu-based Urban Radio where she was a presenter and a programmes controller, she then moved to Radio Jembe in Tanzania.

Over the weekend her  close friends held an event dubbed Slay for Gracey at Westwood Hotel, where they fundraised Sh646,550, which was handed over to the family.

The burial is set to take place at her rural home in Homabay on November 11.
