KENYAN DESIGNER DEEPA DOSAJA SHOWCASES AT NEW YORK FASHION WEEK (PHOTOS)

Deepa Dosaja, one of Africa’s top designers, presented her couture collection for the first time during New York Fashion Week at Studio 450, New York.

With her distinctive designs, Deepa Dosaja, has firmly established her name in Kenya and has clientele across the globe. She uses only fine natural fabrics such as silk, linen, wool and cottons to showcase her exclusive designs and luxurious stretch silk prints.

The Deepa Dosaja label is designed for the confident, stylish and international woman. Deepa’s vision is to create unique clothing for every silhouette while employing the highest ethical and environmental standards possible.

Her designs are known for their intricate hand painting and embroidery. This collection features her passion: bright colours, flowers and butterflies. Through her collection she hopes to show the beauty of Kenya and Africa: the colours, vibrancy, culture, landscapes and diversity. She would like to convey a message of joy, unity and freedom.
