FASHION DESIGNER WAMBUI MUKENYI LAUNCHES LATEST COLLECTION ON A PLANE (PHOTOS)
Kenyan bridal fashion designer Wambui Mukenyi launched her latest collection dubbed Wambui Mukenyi Luxe on a plane.
Held for the first time in Africa, the in-flight fashion show was in partnership with luxury champagne house Moët & Chandon and it took place 10,000ft above sea level.
Big wigs in Kenyan fashion industry and entertainment industry: Pinky Ghelani, Connie Aluoch, Olive Gachara, Suzie Wokabi, Wambui Thimba, Kobi Kihara, Eddie Kirindo and Mwende Macharia were among the invitees who were treated to a fully-fledged fashion show on the chartered plane to Malindi accompanied with free flowing Moët & Chandon Champagne.
Speaking at the event, Wambui Mukenyi said, “Kenya is ready for luxury, the growing demand and support from all our customers is the reason why we are unveiling Wambui Mukenyi Luxe.”
She also said the new collection took four months to conclude and was inspired by people’s love of class and elegance in bridal gowns.
