WILBRODA SPEAKS ABOUT SINGLE MOTHERHOOD CHALLENGES

Jackie Nyaminde popularly known as Wilbroda for her role on Citizen TV’s Papa Shirandula, talked about the challenges of raising a son as a woman.

“He is the greatest gift I have been blessed with,” she said about her son. After falling out with the father of her son, they both amicably agreed that she would raise him.

“We both knew that it was the best decision for us and our son and I felt at peace,” Wilbroda said.

Wilbroda expressed that at times it’s hard to fill in questions about parenting that her son asks her, “He’s growing and he’s very intelligent, so sometimes he will ask why his dad and I are not together. That is when you wish you had some help to explain it to him.”

She however says she has learnt to be truthful, “I do my best though and never lie to him. I want him to get the truth from me.”

Wilbroda’s baby father is something she has never publicly revealed. Luckily for her, he’s not a deadbeat.

“His father is actively involved in his life so he’s the first father figure,” she stated.

Dating has had to take a backseat because she wants a man who will accept her as well as her son as a whole package.

“My life revolves around my son. If something is healthy for my son then it’s healthy for my son,” she said.
