It’s expected that the Internet will react to the President’s son getting married. When President Uhuru’s eldest son, Jomo tied the knot, there were a lot of curiousity. People wanted to know every single detail about the wedding but as expected, there was a lot of privacy behind it. Jomo said “I do” to Fiona, who’s the daughter of Defense Cabinet Secretary Raychelle OmamO. Fiona is granddaughter to Luo political heavyweight, Dr William Odongo Omamo. There was a traditional Kikuyu wedding which was later followed by a fancy church wedding. The couple had a somewhat public relationship prior, with Jomo seen with her at public holiday celebrations; once at Jamhuri Day celebrations and in a later event where she seemed to rock an engagement ring.

This wedding literally broke the Internet because blogger Sharon Mundia, popularly known as This is Ess, reported that her website crashed when she shared the photos of the engagement, which was at a lodge in Mount Kenya and the wedding photos, which took place in Watamu. Of course, no one foresaw the drama and scandal that would later ensue which led to the couple’s divorce.
