BIEN’S BROTHER MELVIN ALUSA TALKS ABOUT FACING REJECTION AND RESENTMENT FROM HIS FATHER
A parent’s rejection can be hurtful and Bien Aime’s older brother Melvin Alusa experienced it firsthand.
The actor and model, known for starring in major films such as “The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind” and appearing on Big Brother Africa, spoke about his painful past with his father.
“A father’s love is the foundation of his children. It is what they build on and are able to face the storms the world throws at them. What happens when a father chooses to be absent or is present but has no love towards the child?” He asks on his latest social media post.
Melvin, who is now an accomplished actor and father continues to speak about his relationship with his dad, adding that he even got kicked out of home, “I grew up facing great rejection and resentment from my father.
I was fearful, felt unworthy and for the better part of my childhood longed for his affirmation, but it only got worse to the point of being kicked out of the home I knew at the tender age of 17.
Today God has blessed me with 6 children whom I love with my life, an opportunity to break the curse of rejection and change the narrative.”
