Nairobi businessman and former Emgwen MP aspirant, Meshack Kimutai went viral online when he proposed to his baby mama Karen Ruto.

The father of one talked to Buzz Central about his unique proposal, “I planned to surprise her for two months, I first ordered her ring from Dubai.

When everything was ready I knew it was the right time, so, I hired a chopper for two days to do business and also proposed to her.

Day one we went to my hometown in Kapsabet and day two was her day, I took her to Magadi for a date, then went on one knee and proposed to her. She was so surprised, thank God she said yes.”

The couple has been dating for a year and according to a close source Kimutai spent Sh3 million to pull the surprise, “He wanted it to be extravagant and bought her a 17-carat gold ring with diamond, two-day chopper ride, champagnes, Kalenjin milk ‘mursik’ was a must, a luxury picnic basket and dinner in Nairobi after.”

The pre-wedding will take place at Karen’s home in Kericho on December 4 and next year on Good Friday the couple will tie the knot at a beach wedding.
