BETTY KYALLO EXPLAINS WHY SHE WON’T BE BACK ON TV ANYTIME SOON

By  |

TV personality Betty Kyallo says she won’t be returning on TV anytime soon, the former K24 anchor revealed during a question and answer session, stating she wants to focus on her business, “I feel like the break I took after I resigned was very important. It has really helped me to hustle hard and I don’t take anything for granted. That move taught me how to be self-reliant and being able to handle myself.

Most of us love to be employed and be under the cushion of a salary. But when the salary is removed then it becomes difficult to survive. I won’t be back on screen now maybe later, I love being on air and it’s my first love. For now, I’m seeing what I will do if I go back, I just don’t want to go back and do the same thing, I feel there is so much I want to do other than reading news.”

She also explained when she started working for KTN she never felt good enough for the job, “A lot of time felt like I wasn’t good enough especially the first years when I was on TV, I was a colleague to people who were doing so well, the likes of Cynthia Nyamai and Beatrice Marshall in the same newsroom, I always felt intimidated.

Sometimes I would go on air and shrub and not ask the right questions to politicians, many times I would go home feeling so bad. It used to be really hard but somehow it happened and now we are here, I am happy I gave myself a chance.”
