DADDY OWEN EXPLAINS WHY HE STILL WEARS HIS WEDDING BAND AND UPCOMING BOOK

Musician Owen Mwatia also known as Daddy Owen has explained the reason why he is still wearing his wedding band even after separating with his wife of four years, Farida Wambui.

He says, “My ring is a covenant with God, when you come together in church it’s a covenant you are making with God.”

The gospel musician is also set to release his book, “One of the most important things I have been doing this past three years is, I have been secretly writing my book and my plan was to launch it on my 40^th birthday. It’s called 40 chapters of life, I got a writer, who lives abroad and he is Kenyan.

I have been approached by so many people who want to shoot a short movie about my life but I said let me write a book first. The book talks about everything from the day I came to Nairobi, my first deal to things you have not heard in the media, we had to get lawyers to determine what can be published and what can’t.

I started writing in 2018, I’m revealing now because I wanted to launch it on January 29 but I have postponed it because of the last chapter. I had to include some things that has happened in my life, and the details in the last chapter may be controversial. Not for the public but for my sons to know the truth.

In the book, there are people I touch who may feel they are powerful or they have money. You can control Kenya but not the whole world.”
