Vlogger Wangari Nguri popularly known as Auntie Jemimah had opened up about the difficult decision she made to leave her politician boyfriend.

Auntie Jemimah says after dating her boyfriend for two years he started hitting on other women and told her they were just having a fling, “The last relationship I was in ended in 2017, we dated for two years. He was an aspiring politician in Nairobi and I campaign for him online, women would inbox him and he started flirting with them.

One of my fans sent me a message after she saw me posting him, we started talking and she opened up to me that the guy I was campaign for was hitting on her. I told her I was in a relationship with him for two years and asked her to send me the screenshots of their conversations. He was telling her he is single and just hooking up with me. I confronted him and he said we were just hooking up for two years, that was the part that hurt me the most.

I remember I was from Gukena FM to record my session and I cried in the matatu, but the heart has no brain because after that we reunited. Then we broke up, it was on and off, when I realised he did not want to commit I decided to move on. He had met all my friends but I never met his. I forgave him but we just friends.

I fear marriage because of the stories I hear but I have not given up. I think me being famous contributed to our break up, he got famous and became a big head but I was also famous and supportive but he did not reciprocate that.”

The vlogger also says she has not had good luck with relationships as her first boyfriend was controlling, “My first love was nice but I believe he was controlling me. I was very young and naïve and everything he would say I would do. He was from the coast, he left the country to search for greener pastures and went silent.”
