FRASHA EXPLAINS WHY P-UNIT TURNED DOWN COLLABO WITH DIAMOND PLATNUMZ

P-Unit’s Francis Amisi, known to most as Frasha has stated the reason why P-Unit denied Diamond Platnumz a collabo.

In an online interview with Rhymes Na Nonini (RNN), he says it was not personal, “Being an artiste is like a tyre today you are up and tomorrow you are down. At MTV Awards we performed with Diamond; at the time he didn’t have a song so he performed the hook for Ni Mkare. That time he was willing to learn, he used to watch us and strategize. Then, Kenyan music was big in Tanzania and we used to be paid well.

He later asked for a collabo, but at the time we had a specific sound and we didn’t want to sound different, we were trying to create our sound, Genge in a certain way. But Diamond came with a different style. It was nothing personal.”
