Rapper Khaligraph Jones has clapped back at fellow rappers Octopizzo, King Kaka and Noti Flow for calling artistes who visited Deputy President William Ruto over the weekend, sellouts. On Saturday, Ruto met a number of top creatives in the country to discuss their plight and made suggestions on the best way forward that will help the Government, and the industry raise income. “At the request of our artists led by rapper @KHALIGRAPH (Brian Robert Ouko), I met members of the creative industry to discuss their concerns, receive suggestions & proposals on the current Covid-19 situation in the country. The artists raised issues of grave concern affecting them, offered to participate in flattening the outbreak’s curve and made suggestions on the best way forward that will help the Government, and the industry raise some income.

Among the requests they made were; 1. Creation of a special government fund to support artists 2. Noti Flow shared on her Insta Stories, “For once Octozero has a point, how can people be so blind. We clearly know after the elections you’ll never see these people pretending to be with us now again. We need a lifetime solution, not some peanuts to silence us for now.

We want something substantial for the people like jobs for the youth for instance to sustain them in the long run. These artistes should stop being sellouts. So cheap, think of millions of people suffering underground and not just about yourselves Selfish like the politicians. #theydontreallycareaboutus.”
