40 AND FABULOUS: KENYAN FEMALE CELEBRITIES WHO KEEP GETTING HOTTER WITH AGE

A section of Kenyan female celebrities have on different occasions left their fans amazed when they mark their birthdays. However, it is no secret that some of these celebrities have invested in their looks making it possible to be 40 and still turn heads. Below are some Kenyan celebrities who are 40 but look sexy and young. 

DJ Pierra Makena 

Born 11 April 1981, DJ Pierra Makena is a Kenyan disc jockey, actress and TV personality. The mother of one was first an actress before becoming a DJ. Makena got into the Kenyan TV and film industry right out of high school where she landed roles on Kisulisuli and Tausi on KBC, Tahidi High on Citizen TV and Mnet’s TV series Changes.  The beautiful lass has all it takes in a beautiful woman, talk about the curvy body and flawless hair, she boasts them all.  Makena celebrated her birthday with a cute message that read; “Today is my 40th birthday. Caution! I’m on the 4th floor. God has been faithful. Thanks to everyone in my life.” 

Akothee 

Regarded as one of the wealthiest female musicians in Kenya, Esther Akoth, alias Akothee recently turned 40 where she was pampered by her lovely daughters. Interestingly, the mother of five got married at 14 and had three kids by the age of 16. However, after hitting the ground running with music, Akothee invested in real estate, Akothee Property, and expanded her transport business, Akothee Safaris. She is among Kenyan female celebrities who have smooth and amazing skin, and she never shies away from flaunting it. To mark her 40th birthday, she wrote; “Behold the queen of humility, the most honest humble, real human being I have met since I was born. 40 looks like this. Be blesses here.” 

Kalekye Mumo 

Born in 1976, Kalekye Mumo is a celebrated media personality who has been in the media industry for 15 years. In 2019, she elicited mixed reactions after sharing how difficult it is for her to find a partner. The former presenter and TV host revealed that it has been a challenge finding someone to settle down with because most people think that she is wealthy. Apart from that, a sneak peak at Kalekye’s Instagram page portrays nothing but a flawless woman. Her nails and hair are always on point, let alone her dressing code which perfectly shows off her curves. 

Nazizi 

Also known as the first lady of Kenyan hip hop, Nazizi Hirji was born on March 30, 1981. The rapper first earned attention by winning the talent contest Da Show in the ’90s, before joining Necessary Noize in 2000. Nazizi boasts a curvy figure and flawless skin.  Taking to Instagram, the singer-cum-radio presenter thanked God as she turned 40.”40. Thank you Jah. Allhamdulilah.”  In a separate post she had posted, “Two more hours till I hit the fourth floor. I had a great day and I’m reflecting about my parents a lot especially because I almost lost them both in January. Mum and Dad thanks for creating me. I know you guys didn’t expect a RASTA or a Rebel and we had a rough few years. However now at this moment you two are the biggest support I have in my life. You love me endlessly even with I being different from the whole family. Thank you for creating the roots daughter I promised you I will always make u proud. Thanks for trusting me to do that. I love you both.” 

Amani

Cecilia Wairimu alias Amani was born in Thika in 1980. Her contributions to the Kenyan music industry have earned her several accolades, including the Best Female category at the 2009 MTV Africa Music Awards, Pearl of Africa Music Awards, Kisima Awards and Chaguo La Teeniez Awards. Amani got born again in 2018 with ‘My God’ and ‘Upendo’ being some of her songs as a born again Christian. The singer who will be turning 41 this year always looks sharp in her gorgeous hairs and makeup completed by her smooth skin. “A year older today. It’s been a great birthday…I give all the glory to God. He has been a gracious and good God throughout the year too. There is no God like Jehover,” she wrote on Instagram while marking her 40th birthday. 

Wahu 

Wahu Kagwi is 41 years old. The talented singer is married to fellow artist David Mathenge, alias Nameless since 2005 and together they have two girls. The mother of two boasts a nice petite body and perfect skin. While marking her birthday, Wahu thanked God for life, health and family.”When I look over my shoulder, I see evidence of His hand of mercy and favour. And so, I know that even as I enter a new year, He will continue to be with me. Thank you, father, for love, life, health, the gift of family and friends. Thank you – my online family, for always showing me love,” she wrote.
