DIAMOND PLATNUMZ, BURNA BOY AND WIZKID NOMINATED FOR BET AWARDS

Popular Tanzanian singer Naseeb Abdul, alias Diamond Platnumz has been nominated for the BET Awards, in Best International Act category.

The singer will be battling it out with renowned artistes like Nigeria’s Burna Boy, Wizkid, Emicida, Young T & Bugsey, Aya Nakamura, Headie One and Youssoupha. Nigeria’s Burna Boy was the winner in the same in 2019.

In 2017, WCB signed artiste Rayvanny became the first Tanzanian artiste to win a BET Award, after being crowned Viewers Choice Best New International Act. This made him the second artiste to win a BET Award in East Africa, after Eddy Kenzo who won the International Viewers Award in 2015.

The BET Awards is an American award show that was established in 2001 by the Black Entertainment Television network to celebrate African Americans in music, acting, sports, and other fields of entertainment over the past year.  The annual presentation ceremony features performances by artists, and some of the awards of more popular interest are presented in a televised ceremony.
