ALINUR MOHAMED PROMISES TO SPONSOR 10 YOUNG PEOPLE TO NAIVASHA FOR WRC SAFARI RALLY
Political hopeful Alinur Mohamed sparked reactions on Wednesday evening, June 23 after disclosing that he will sponsor people to attend the highly-popularised WRC Safari Rally in Naivasha.
In a statement on his social media pages, the politician stated that he would sponsor at least 10 young people for the four-day event from Thursday June 24 to Sunday, June 27. “So many people are asking me if I will be going to Naivasha this weekend. I prefer not to answer that right now, but I am willing to fully sponsor 10 young people to go there and enjoy themselves up to Sunday evening. If you are a young couple, that is an added advantage,” he wrote.
On June 14, Alinur dominated the news after offering singer Bahati Sh200,000 after KFCB Boss Ezekiel Mutua cancelled the financial support he had promised the musician.
In a statement, Alinur said that he will reimburse Bahati the aforesaid amount in line with his commitment to support local artistes. “I believe there are better ways to sort issues other than parading them online for cheap publicity.
KFCB’s CEO Dr. Ezekiel Mutua alias Deputy Jesus has said that he has cancelled 200K partnership deal with Bahati. That has not only tainted Baha’s name but also jeopardised his main source of income. In my consistent commitment to support local artists, I am going to pay the 200k to Bahati” promised Alinur.
