COMEDIAN KARTELO OPENS UP ABOUT THE DEATH OF HIS FIRSTBORN CHILD

Content creator Nick Chege, alias Kartelo opened up about the death of his firstborn child. Speaking to Kipawa, the comedian who doubles up as a radio presenter disclosed that he had his first baby while in still in high school. 

Kartelo stated that she did not make it out of the hospital as she passed away hours after delivery. “It is a sad story, I had a kid when I was in form four, a beautiful baby girl but she did not make it out of the hospital. She unfortunately passed away while still in the hospital,” he said. 

He added that at the time, he used to stay at his mother’s house but managed to cater for his pregnant girlfriend at the time. Kartelo added that they successfully kept the pregnancy a secret for the entire nine months. “At the time I was living in my parent’s house, I had made a girl pregnant but we managed to keep the pregnancy a secret for nine months and nobody knew about it. Even during the delivery day, we went to the hospital just me and her,” added the comic. 

Further, Kartelo expressed disappointment after learning about his daughter’s death, noting that he got over it after welcoming his second child. “My girlfriend delivered well but the baby passed away after a few hours, it is something that made me feel bad because after putting in all the efforts despite being broke, the baby died. Since the incident I always believed I would get over it when I get another kid and when I welcomed my second child, I got over that pain,” he added.
